About Morim.org and Madrichim.org

Since 2000 Morim.org and Madrichim.org educational resource centers, have been serving a community of educators from over 50 countries around the world.

The contents of Morim.org and Madrichim.org are adapted to fit the needs of classroom environments, camps, youth movements and other educational structures.

Morim.org and Madrichim.org provide a comprehensive gamut of creative and innovative programs for all ages.

These programs are developed by a team of educators from different continents, experts in specific fields and specialists in pedagogical processing.

Each program that is developed has the following components:

Clear and measurable objectives

Guidance material for the teacher or coordinator that is also intended to further explore specific subjects.

Different activity formats for the participants.

Activities for parents and children.

Concrete end-products reflecting tangible results of the learning process.

Morim.org and Madrichim.org promote the exchange of materials, best practices and forums of expression to discuss relevant issues, share experiences and network with Jewish educators around the world.

The entire site is available in 4 languages: English, French, Russian and Spanish.

The sites are divided into the following sections:

Program Search:
You can use the “Palette” to find the programs suited for the educational structure you work in and the age group you work with. The palette allows you to search by Age Group and Theme. Additionally, you may use the key word search located in the upper left corner of every page.

Focus on Programs:
This section is regularly updated to highlight a group of programs that all focus on a certain theme or that are just some favorites to share!

Holiday:
Even the name of this section changes regularly to remain in harmony with the Jewish calendar. A month or so before each holiday you will find the contents needed in order to help you prepare for the upcoming event!

Calendar:
Looking beyond the current holiday you can consult the calendar in order to check dates of Jewish and International events. The calendar also allows you to access programs associated with the events listed.

Online consulting:
Consult with experts in the field of Education on specific themes of interest.

This is a place just for you, where you may organize, save and share all of the Morim.org and Madrichim.org materials that are of specific interest to you.

About JDC

JDC – A Lifeline to the Jewish World

Since 1914, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Inc. (JDC) has served as the overseas arm of the American Jewish community. Our mission is to serve the needs of Jews throughout the world, particularly where their lives as Jews are threatened or made more difficult.

We sponsor programs of relief, rescue and renewal and help Israel address its most urgent social challenges. We are committed to the idea that all Jews are responsible for one another.

About the JDC International Community Development (ICD) department

This department is responsible for implementing JDC programs in Latin America, Western Europe, the Baltic States, Bulgaria, Hungary, South Africa and China, and extends its training and education activities also across the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. The ICD operates in each of these communities taking into account its specific socio-economic circumstances and based on these, proceeds as necessary with rescue, relief or community development.

In cooperation with local organization, the ICD work focuses on:

Providing answers to socio-economic crisis situations, assistance on supplying food, meeting basic needs, and implementing programs for reinsertion into the workforce and community reengineering.

Building rich, diverse, broad, pluralistic and integral communities.

Developing meaningful Jewish life experiences through the professional planning of programs and activities, as well as through the training, networking and interaction of professionals and members.

Promoting the exchange of ideas, innovation proposals and transfer of know-how through coaching and pilot projects.

Facilitating change, and nurturing creativity and experimentation.
